About The Fourth

The Fourth is an online publication established in 2021 by student journalists from the University of the Philippines - Diliman. Committed to the role of the press as truth-tellers and watchdogs in service of the masses, the publication seeks to inform the public and uncover the realities experienced by various communities—stories that are not given enough attention in the mainstream but are nonetheless of great relevance.

Dedicated in ‘keeping power in check’, The Fourth presents news articles, feature and sports stories, as well as opinion and editorial pieces on timely and pertinent issues both local and national, especially amid a challenging time when the country still suffers from the onslaught of the pandemic.
